We recover LaCie data from any sort of hardware or software failure. If your drive has more than one disk and is in a RAID or some other similar configuration, our engineers will repair the system and retrieve your data.

It doesn’t matter how the LaCie has failed; hard drive crash, failed software update, you cannot access the device or you cannot mount the volume, we will deal with it.

We recover many crashed LaCie drives. So many, in fact, that we feel they are not reliable, and should never be used for data storage of any kind. We would even suggest that if you use a LaCie drive, you should backup your data immediately and make sure your backups are always up to date.

If you contact us, our engineers will advise you how to prevent further data damage, so that we have the best chance to fully restore the LaCie data. If your LaCie RAID failed and you tried a RAID rebuild but the drive still will not boot, you probably have critical system failure needing professional recovery. At this stage, please DO NOT continue trying to recover the LaCie data yourself; you could cause further data loss.

  • Our engineers will diagnose the fault with you, and recommend the best way to recover the failed LaCie. In the meantime, please do not attempt further recovery; you could easily cause further data corruption.
