We have in-house software engineering facilities, which enable us to write our own drivers to connect to obsolete storage media and, because we are constantly adding to our stock of tape and MO / WORM drives / readers, we have a wide variety of devices dating back decades.
Extracting data from MultiFile Plus databases (created by System 2100 Ltd.) is labour-intensive and complex. The data is typically compressed and stored on a Magneto-Optical or WORM drive. The compression / decompression algorithm is proprietary (Babel Compression Engine), but Retrodata engineers have systems in place that will read the raw data extract this data and convert it to any database format, such as MS Access and MS-SQL databases.
Similarly, when it comes to data recovery and conversion on SCSI devices in 8 bit DOS and 16 bit Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 environment, Retrodata already have mission-ready systems in place, ready to read and perform data conversion.
