MO and WORM disk recovery

Advanced in-house data engineering facilities. If your device is not recognised, we write device drivers to gain access.

We extract and recover data from the following devices:

  • Pioneer (including DC-502A media)
  • Maxoptix
  • Plasmon
  • Sony
  • Fujitsu
  • Tandberg
  • Any obsolete, legacy or unidentifiable device

Data recovery from Magneto Optical and WORM discs is a field in which Retrodata excel – especially if the data residing on these discs is in a format that is compressed, or which has been written using proprietary methods.

Retrodata have been procuring MO readers and writers over the years, and now have a considerable range of devices, ranging from the obsolete Pioneer DC-502A, to Plasmon (UDO), Maxoptix, Sony, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba and numerous legacy, proprietary and modern drives.

Data recovery from MO or WORM discs and drives that are unsupported or unidentifiable is an area in which Retrodata have unique expertise. We have in-house software engineering facilities which enable us to access obsolete and proprietary devices by writing our own device drivers; similarly, we are able to write programs to extract and work with the data, regardless of the format. Data compression that normally foils data recovery is rarely an issue with us; encrypted data, which can hinder the conversion of data, is something we are also usually able to defeat.

Our custom-engineered systems are in place and mission-ready, able to work immediately, without modification to drivers or software, ready to extract your data.
