Data Conversion Services

With in-house software engineering, we’re able to access legacy, obsolete and unrecognisable data storage devices and systems. We write software drivers that allow us to interrogate and extract data from magneto-optical discs, WORM discs, legacy SCSI devices, and all retired hardware and computer systems.

Dicom data conversion

dicom data extractionWe’re fully equipped to provide Dicom data conversion and Dicom data extraction from all storage media, and regularly provide Dicom data recovery, extraction and conversion services to the NHS and veterinary clinics.

As well as a wide array of hardware and MO readers, we are able to read and convert data from the proprietary Pioneer DC-502A WORM discs.

We are able to convert data from:

  • Magneto Optical (MO) discs
  • WORM discs
  • Magnetic tape
  • Hard disk drives – any interface or age
  • Minidisc
  • Optical discs – DVD, CD, Blu-Ray
  • Floppy discs
  • Any unknown or unidentifiable device

We convert, recover and extract data from all operating systems:

  • MS-DOS – all versions (including stacked or compressed volumes)
  • DR-DOS
  • PC-DOS
  • Microsoft Windows – from V1 to Windows for Workgroups to Windows 7 (FAT16 to NTFS)
  • IBM AIX
  • UNIX and all variants
  • Linux Ext2, Ext3, Ext4 and all variants
  • Apple Mac OS – all versions
  • All other file systems including XFS, ZFS, UFS

legacy data conversion application retirementThe data may exist on a proprietary or obsolete storage medium (from early Linux, UNIX or Apple systems, or early MS-DOS or DR-DOS systems with similar dated and unsupported storage devices.) We are able to overcome all these hurdles with software we have created for this purpose, often using forensics-based tactics to achieve success. If you require data conversion from any database, or are considering application retirement and have of information you need to access, our advanced level of both hardware and software engineering skills will ensure that the data migration is completed accurately and efficiently, and with the highest levels of confidentiality.
